Fabric Face Masks!

To date I have completed a total of 270 fabric face masks! Wow! When I started on the adventure I had no idea that I would get so involved! I was asked by a very good friend to make a few as she is a Family Nurse Practitioner, as supplies were getting low for surgical masked she wanted to protect herself, patients and family around her. It was then that I committed myself to making them for Free for Healthcare workers, Police, Fire and Essential Workers if I could afford to do so. I am proud to say that Sew Savvy By Brandy customers have been very generous in donating a bit extra monetarily to help support he cause. To date over 150 masks have been donated for Free!

I write about this as it is so important for us as a society to see the good in our community during this horrific pandemic. My prayer is that we take a look around us and see what we can do to support and lift each other up. That my children understand the importance of contributing to those around us who are doing their best to help such as healthcare workers, fire, police, etc.

This is an opportunity to Be Kind, Be Humble, Be the Good that you want to see in the world. Use your talents whatever they may be to contribute. I am fortunate that the Lord has bestowed upon me a talent that I can use to help others, that I have the ability to do so, and those around me who support the same ideals.

I have enjoyed this journey as I have re-connected with grade school friends, high school classmates, extended family, neighbors, co-workers, former Moms Club moms, aunts, uncles, cousins etc. Thankful that I could provide them with the necessary basic need of a fabric face mask, to provide a bit of security, ease anxiety and to extend a helping hand.
