Tour of my sewing space and storage

Recently my husband and I remodeled the interior of our home. In preparation for all of the work to be done we had to move everything out of the house and into the garage. This was a tedious job but also showed us how much we could do with out! So as we started moving things back into the house my fabric and sewing collection shrank exponentially! It actually makes me more focused and I spend less as I am trying to keep to the space I have dedicated for my sewing area.
I also find that I am more organized and use items I buy rather than collecting and not realizing what I have in stock. This is a photo of the new desk I purchased which is a perfect corner fit! There is enough room for my tea, sewing machine and computer that plays movies for me while I sew!

I keep all my patterns, fabrics, notions and sewing machines in a closet. I use S hooks to hang tote-bags with items and clipped hangers for my rulers and cutting boards. The rolling carts are a must! I found both of these turquoise beauties at Michael's and love all the little accessories they came with like cup holders, thread racks, rollers for tracing paper and so much more. I purchased similar colored plastic storage containers that are labeled for quick grab and go. Because I am matchy-matchy I made covers for my sewing, embroidery and over lock machine. I just love opening the closet and seeing everything in the same color!
