Enjoying time with my sewing machine and creating one of a kind items is not only one of my hobbies it is something that allows me to relax and feel like I'm getting back to basics. There is nothing like a glass of iced tea, bing watching a show, the feel of fabric and the sound of my machine doing its thing.
This weekend I chose to sew up another Gertie pattern from Butterick #6380.

This is a pattern that I have had for a while waiting for the perfect fabric to come along. I chose a beautiful cream cotton that has delicate cherries tossed on the fabric. I added tiny trim in the same cream shade to the bodice area and buttons that really set off the whole project. Here are some photos of my sewing the project. As you scroll through you will see a photo of my sewing partner "Savvy" my 4 pound Chihuahua!
Thank you for stopping by and letting me share my sewing adventures with you! Below is a photo of the final product on my manikin. The drape is perfect and I feel like the all the trims ad a delicate touch, just enough! I can't wait to wear this beauty to work this week! What project are you working on???
